The philosophy topics for technology terminal students were as follows: “Does freedom consist in not obeying anyone?” (subject 1), “Is it right to defend your rights by all means?” (subject 2) and a comment on theDiderot’s Encyclopedia (1751-1572).

Despite the reform of the baccalaureate, the philosophy test has kept its traditional formula. The candidates therefore have four hours to blacken their copy during the written examination in philosophy. Three subjects are offered: two dissertations and one on a text study. Candidates who opt for a dissertation only have a simple question as their subject, which they must answer with a detailed argument, justified by references and personal knowledge. For the text study, candidates must report on the meaning and philosophical significance of a text signed by an author present in the philosophy program. Beware of the biggest pitfall of this exercise, considered by some to be simpler than the essay: paraphrasing the subject of the text will not be enough to pass the test.
When are the results of the baccalaureate philosophy test known?
Each year, the results of baccalaureate candidates are published on a single date and in 2023 they will fall on July 4. After the philosophy test, high school students will have to wait about twenty days before knowing their grade. Fortunately, the publication of the answers, generally on the D-day of the test, allows you to have an idea of the quality of the work rendered and therefore of the mark obtained.
