(Finance) – Presented today at the offices of the European Parliament in Milan, the seventh edition of the “Angi National Award 2024 – Innovation Oscar” which represents one of the major international events at European level dedicated to meritocracy and talent, young people and businesses.
“As the National Association of Young Innovators – he underlined Gabriele Ferrieri, president of Angi – we are pleased to have presented this edition with an event that highlights the importance of supporting and enhancing the innovation ecosystem. The theme of new media and female empowerment was also explored in depth thanks to declarations and in the presence of our special guestFederica Masolin, who offered an extraordinary point of view on the valorization of professional skills, on the role of new communication channels and on the growth of women in the world of work”, concluded Ferrieri.
Federica Masolin, journalist and face of Sky Calcio, in receiving the Innovation Leader Award, he underlined the importance of innovation in the information sector: “For me, innovating means telling stories in an increasingly captivating way and capturing nuances that have not yet been grasped, especially in such a context as broad as that of sport, which is not only a hotbed of dreams, but also a pool from which one can draw to understand how much one can improve and therefore innovate in one’s daily life”.
During the press conference the VII “Youth & Innovation” Reportcreated by Lab21.01 and Angi Ricerche, in which the opinions, skills and priorities of the 18-34 year old generation in Italy were analysed. Professor Roberto Baldassari, Director of the Angi Scientific Committee, underlined that one of the most significant data highlights that 70% of young people consider brain drain a crucial problem for Italy, while only 30% of those interviewed do not perceive this phenomenon as a criticality. When asked how to improve contact between students and companies, the main answers were: direct experiences in the field (41%) and targeted training (38%), while among the skills considered most important by young people are knowledge of digital tools , ambition and desire to grow (30%) and knowledge of the English language (20%).

Ferrieri also underlined “the usual contribution of some large Italian corporations such as Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, Bayer Farmaceutica, Teamsystem, Tinexta Cyber and tNotice”.
The appointment with the 2024 ANGI National Award is for next December 4th in an exceptional setting: the Hall of the Temple of Vibia Sabina and Hadrian at the Rome Chamber of Commerce, located in the historic Piazza di Pietra. The event, which will take place from 8.30am to 1.30pm, represents a unique opportunity to celebrate talent, meritocracy and innovation in the Italian panorama, with particular attention to young people and businesses.
