BEIJING EXPRESS 2022. During episode 5 of Beijing Express 2022 broadcast on M6 this Thursday, Nicolas and Lucas had an experience as unique as it was unexpected. Read our recap and see the candidates’ scores.
[Mis à jour le 10 mars 2022 à 23h30] This Thursday, March 10, episode 5 of Beijing Express 2022 was broadcast. The six pairs still remaining in the adventure started their race in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan for this fifth stage which required them to first go to Samarkand then to Bukhara. Although they were not eliminated last week, Charlotte and Sarah had to face a major handicap: bringing with them an additional passenger (and not necessarily very lively, let’s face it) as well as a statue of 12 ceramic pounds. This has really slowed them down in their progress! The first step was to go to Samarkand but before that, the six pairs had to make traditional Uzbek bread and then sell enough to be able to start their race. On the first stage, the Belgians Nicolas and Lucas won while Jean-Claude and Axel, the endearing grandfather/grandson duo, finished second.
During their night with the locals in Samarkand, Lucas and Nicolas had an experience that was surprising to say the least. Invited by their host to participate in a ceremony where many inhabitants were gathered, in traditional clothes, the two Belgians imagined attending a wedding… It was actually a circumcision ritual for two boys! The sequence, which did not fail to create the giggles of the two candidates, also made the viewers react a lot. Beijing Express is also that, this kind of unexpected experience for candidates!
The next day, the pairs took part in the immunity test. Very tight, this test allowed Jérémy and Fanny to experience the second stage of the week (towards Bukhara) in complete relaxation. For the rest of the candidates, the stage was very stressful because, armed with the red flag, Lucas and Nicolas were masters of the race. If they first decided to spare Jean-Claude and Axel, the Belgians quickly understood that this choice had created resentment among the other competitors. Once caught, Jean-Claude and Axel were also entitled to their 15-minute break following the red flags. Lucas and Nicolas have, very logically, taken the lead in the event and therefore claim a third amulet worth €10,000.
Last arrivals, Arlette and Caroline chose to face Jean-Claude and Axel during the cutthroat test at the end of the show. Aware that this event would undoubtedly be eliminatory, the mother and daughter played their all out. Caroline faced Axel in a race against time that required them to pierce blue balloons using darts, while avoiding red ones that meant penalty minutes. If Axel was very late at the start of the event, Caroline was a victim of her stress and lost a lot of time in penalties. Axel, meanwhile, was imperial on darts and finished first in this event hands down. As a result, Caroline and her mother Arlette were eliminated during episode 5 of Beijing Express 2022.

During the last episode of Beijing Express, broadcast on February 24, 2022, Etienne decided to abandon the adventure just before the final duel. The consequence for Vanessa is that she too must leave the M6 game. The pair of strangers is therefore the last to have been eliminated from Beijing Express.

Beijing Express is an adventure game broadcast since 2006 on M6. This television show, presented by Stéphane Rotenberg, sees pairs go abroad every year. The goal: to survive thanks to the inhabitant and to go to different stages in the country, to rub shoulders with events that allow them to qualify for the rest of the competition.
The 2022 season of Beijing Express is broadcast on M6 from February 10, 2022. Please note, the day of broadcast has changed: it is no longer Tuesday evening, but now Thursday evening that viewers will be able to find the adventure game at the other end of the world.
During the 2022 edition of Beijing Express, eight pairs compete in the M6 game in the hope of becoming the big winners of this season 15. Since February 10, 2022, viewers have been able to discover the profiles and backgrounds of the duos following:
- Etienne and Vanessa, the pair of strangers
- Jean-Claude and Alex, the grandfather and his grandson from Gers
- Arlette and Caroline, fusional mother and daughter from Toulon
- Charlotte and Sarah, the inseparable sisters of Monaco
- Lucas and Nicolas, the Belgian brothers
- Fanny and Jérémy, a couple from the Lyon region
- Tarik and Ahmed, cousins from Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
- Sylvie and Alex, lovers with opposite characters from the PACA region
What is the Express Pass?
In episode 1, viewers discovered a new rule that will shake up the competition: the express pass. This advantage will allow the pair who wins it this season (in the first episode) to avoid the final duel if they finish a stage being neither first nor last. The duo that benefits from it can play it until the seventh episode. Once used, the express pass can no longer be used by another pair and this advantage disappears from the competition.
Beijing Express has been broadcast since February 10, 2022, on Thursday evenings, starting at 9:05 p.m. M6 has been broadcasting this adventure game since its creation. The first episode is broadcast every week: February 10, February 17, February 24, March 3… If you missed an episode, it is however possible to catch up on replay. The day after its broadcast, the sixth channel puts it online for eight days on its streaming and replay platform. 6play.
For the time being, we do not know the winners of Beijing Express 2022, the season having not yet been broadcast on M6. During the last season of Beijing Express, the final of which was broadcast on M6 on April 27, 2021, Claire and Christophe became the 2021 winners against Cinzia and Rose-Marie. The father-daughter duo won 58,730 euros. The previous edition, Beijing Express All Stars, saw the victory of the Corsican couple Julie and Denis, finalists of the 2013 season.
