After the conclusion of the Daniel Craig era in the James Bond franchise, the future of the most iconic secret agent is still up in the air. The only thing that is fairly certain is that the next 007 will be played by a younger star in his early 30s. It is also unclear who will direct the new Bond film.
Fans have been wanting Christopher Nolan for a long time, but now another name has been brought into play. Kingsman director is supposedly Matthew Vaughn the new top candidate for staging the next Bond chapter.
Matthew Vaughn would bring a lot of agent experience to the Bond franchise
According to World of Reel, the rumor comes from well-connected Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman. Vaughn is said to have already had discussions with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli and is currently the top preferred candidate.
The Brit would bring a lot of agent experience with him, as Vaughn has already directed Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle and The King’s Man – The Beginning. He was also the one who portrayed Daniel Craig through his performance in 2004’s Layer Cake clearly recommended as the new 007 has.
Vaughn will bring early 2024 its own new Bond replacement for Apple TV+. This is the spy action thriller Argylle, in which Henry Cavill plays the lead role.
When will the new James Bond film come out without Daniel Craig?
Kick-Ass star Aaron Taylor-Johnson was recently brought into play as the favorite for the Bond role after Craig. The fact that Matthew Vaughn also directed this film is no longer a coincidence…
It is not known when the new James Bond film will be released in cinemas. We expect not before 2025 with a release.
