Several women’s Swedish clubs’ supporters were so upset that the last round of the series was scheduled for a Friday, when fewer people can watch the matches in place, that they sent in a proposal to move the entire round to the following day, Saturday 5 November.
The only problem was that both Brommapojkarna’s men’s and women’s teams have home games in the final round, and the final round of the super one was already scheduled for Saturday.
Our match should have a higher priority than the super single, said gold candidate Rosengård’s Jessica Wik to Aftonbladet.
Now, however, the problem has been solved. According to The evening paper the super league teams have agreed to switch places for the matches.
— The Superettan clubs have agreed to move the match to 17.00 on Saturday. Then it works for EFD (Elitfotboll ladies) to play at 12.00. It is the proposal that EFD will submit to the union and request changes. We will support it, says Mats Enquist, general secretary of Swedish elite football to the newspaper.
This means that the women’s league can be decided on Saturday.
