Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Heroin sales have increased after the pandemic restrictions disappeared, representatives of the police in Stockholm, Malmö and Gothenburg tell “In the name of the law” in P1.

Due to a lack of resources, however, it is difficult for the police authority to work against the heroin market.

– Today, the police are forced to work towards specific goals. What is most known to the public are shootings and gang criminals. Even if those who deal with the heroin are gang criminals, they don’t shoot each other to death, says drug detective Martin in the program.

Open borders – reduced price

When national borders were closed during the pandemic, it became much more difficult to get hold of heroin. But as the world’s countries reopened their borders, it has become much easier to get hold of the drug again, both heroinists and police say for “In the name of the law”.

The price has therefore fallen from around SEK 4,000 per gram to around SEK 500 in metropolitan areas.
