Just before lunchtime, the municipality felt compelled to issue a warning.
Several people had then called in about a huge swarm of bees in Lerum.
– People should not be worried and with rakes try to approach the swarm. It can go bad, says the municipality’s communicator Stefan Larsson.
On its Facebook page, Lerum municipality informs that a “giant bee swarm has been observed between Nyebroparken and Aspenässkolan”.
Several people have called the municipality’s customer center to tell them about the swarm.
– Those who called in thought that the bees come from the beekeeping in Aspenäs, there are two people who are most active there, says the municipality’s communicator Stefan Larsson.
A call has been made to responsible beekeepers to catch the bees.
How to catch a bee swarm?
– I do not know. Attract with honey? No, I do not know. It is probably better for a beekeeper to answer that, says Stefan Larsson.
According to the municipality, there is no danger to the public. The purpose of the post was to inform about the situation.
– It can be experienced as quite threatening with a whole swarm. The public should not panic or try to catch the bees. Then they can get angry, says Stefan Larsson.
