The Swedish A national team has released a brand new match shirt.
And it has not been received very well by the Swedish people.
Enormous criticism is now being directed at Blågult after the high-profile jersey release.
On Thursday, the Swedish A national team presented the new national team jerseys for both the men’s and women’s national teams. Adidas has produced the new match kits where the home shirts are yellow with both dark blue and light blue details and the away shirts are dark blue with pink and yellow details.
Swedish criticism
The new national team jerseys have immediately aroused strong reactions among the Swedish people.
“The new match venues are playful and bold in their design, while at the same time there are winks from traditional country-specific sources of inspiration,” writes the manufacturer Adidas in a press release.

But the Swedish people do not appreciate the new jerseys at all and are now directing enormous criticism at how the jerseys look, see below.
“Ugliest sweaters ever,” writes one user on Instagram.
“Harden up! What is this?”, writes another.
“Really shameful shirt,” writes a third.
“A bottom pacifier”
Above all, it is precisely the playfulness that the Swedes rage against. With both light blue and pink details in the sweaters that stand out quite a bit.
“It was just a real bummer, but if we play in the C group, this shirt is probably right for the purpose,” writes a user on Instagram.
“The away shirt looks like a warm-up shirt, redo do it right,” writes another.
“Looks damn good. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to have pink and light blue. Should only be yellow and blue as in the flag, nothing else,” writes a third.

The first matches that we get to see Sweden play in their new jerseys are for the men training matches against Portugal on March 21 and Albania on March 25. Then with the new national team captain Jon Dahl Tomasson at the helm.
For the ladies, the European Championship qualifying matches against England on April 5 and then France on April 9 await next.
