In eight days, eight violent crimes have shaken Norrköping.
According to TV4 Nyheterna’s information, there are connections to previous events surrounding the motorcycle gang NO Surrenders.
– It is a bit unclear if it is only about groupings, says Johnny Gustavsson, press spokesperson at the police.
During the past eight days, Norrköping has suffered as many violent crimes.
– It is a very sad development. We have obviously not fully succeeded. But for every event like this, we might get another piece of the puzzle.
TV4 Nyheternas’ review shows a pattern with selected targets. There, a connection to the motorcycle gang NO Surrender, whose leader was shot dead on an open street in Norrköping in 2019, has been found.
It is currently unclear whether this is driving the escalated violence in the city.
“Not as safe”
The police currently do not know whether the recent crimes were solely about a conflict between different groups.
– It can also be individuals who have individual settlements with each other. For us it is difficult to decide right now, says Johnny Gustavsson, press spokesperson at the Police.
Among the residents of the city, the fear and anxiety is clear. One person tells TV4 Nyheterna that she has rescheduled her walks and another says that she looks over her shoulder in broad daylight.
– It affects all of us who live here. I don’t feel as safe, says Britt-Marie Svedenberg.
