A state investigation into the operations is now underway and is expected to be completed in a month. All the parties behind the Tidö Agreement have said that virginity operations should be banned, something Sara Mohammad also hopes for.
“Doctors who perform such operations should be punished and have their medical credentials revoked,” she says.
