After the bombastic third part of the action epic, it wasn’t that easy for director Chad Stahelski to up the ante. But what he delivers in just under 3 hours (!) is pure stylish action. Despite the long running time for an action blockbuster, there is hardly any idle time – on the contrary: it gives you more opportunities to enjoy the damn good-looking pictures.

And we can see from the reactions of the audience that the skilfully staged popcorn cinema works. John Wick 4 is incredibly well received. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has 94 percent positive audience AND critic ratings. The film also got a very strong 8.4/10 points from the world’s most well-known film database, the Internet Movie Database (IMDB). You have to reach these house numbers with a straight action cracker first.
