From August 13, 2023 you can watch the action highlight on Netflix Mission: Impossible 6 – Fallout stream where Henry Cavill shone like never before. Because there he developed an unexpected presence as a fighter beyond his Superman and Geralt von Rivia. Maybe that will help those who haven’t gotten over his recent Witcher departure from Netflix, yes, as a streaming alternative through the grief.
On Netflix: In Mission Impossible 6, Henry Cavill is menacingly good
I liked Henry Cavill as Superman. I liked him as Netflix’s Witcher, in Codename UNCLE and many other appearances. But the film, its star qualities and its acting power most insistently proved to me was the 6th Mission Impossible movie. In it, Henry Cavill stars as the antithesis of Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt, alongside August Walker, who goes to work with harsher methods. And proves in six glorious minutesthat he doesn’t need many lines of dialogue to be completely convincing.
Fresh from the Paris sky, the two agents Hunt and Walker enter the toilet of a club after 28 minutes. A tracking device shows you your target here. But although they can easily overwhelm the person they are looking for at first, things don’t go according to plan and a fight ensues Brawl in the gleaming white ambiance of the public bathroomwhich leads from a loo stall, through mirrors to broken pipes, sinks and walls.
Here’s an excerpt of Henry Cavill’s fight highlight in Mission Impossible 6:
Mission Impossible 6 Fallout – Clip 02 Bathroom Fight (German) HD
The toilet scene in Mission Impossible 6 is not only a fantastically choreographed action routine, but it also loads the moustached-wearing Henry Cavill with one menacing presence which is not diminished by the fact that he has to put up with a lot himself. His electrified body seems ready to explode the suit. His “reloading” air boxing in between is now legendary. At the same time, the fight establishes its secondary character as an opponent who should not be underestimated, under whose sovereign surface things are bubbling. Which will become important in the further course of the film that has now been added to Netflix.
In fact, it’s arguable that the Mission Impossible toilet scene made Henry Cavill a Witcher because it saved the struggling Superman’s career. No wonder Henry Cavill later brought the scene’s choreographer to Netflix’s fantasy series. It’s definitely worth watching the career highlight again in time for Mission: Impossible 7’s theatrical release.
