– You can see that there are four sets of wheels, or bogies, under each carriage, but on the one that has derailed, two of the main ones have for some reason come loose from their mountings in the support arm that holds them up. It is interesting for us to review.
Furthermore, Ahlberk says that they will carry out material analysis and look at possible material fatigue, welding joints and other metal structures.
At the same time, he flags that it can take between eight and twelve months for the authority to “get to the bottom” of what has happened.
