Traffic is interrupted on the A13 between Paris and Vaucresson in both directions of traffic until Monday inclusive after the detection of a crack.
In the middle of the school holiday period, the A13 will not reopen before Tuesday. The highway has been cut in both directions since 11 p.m. Thursday between Paris and Vaucresson, according to the Île-de-France roads department (DIRIF). It will remain closed at least until Monday inclusive, for security reasons. A large crack was discovered on the roadway during a planned closure for works. “It runs along the end of the insertion ramp and crosses the A13 towards Saint-Cloud park, with a depth of 50 to 80 cm depending on the location,” specifies the prefecture.
This crack was caused by a ground movement, the origin of which is still unknown. “The causes are being diagnosed,” specifies the prefecture. “It also caused cracks in a sewerage structure located 4 meters deep under the motorway.” Authorities recommend avoiding the area unless necessary. Diversion routes have been put in place. So to reach Paris from Rocquencourt, it is advisable to take the A12 and the N12 towards Versailles, then towards Paris via Porte de Saint-Cloud (N118). To reach Paris from Bois d’Arcy, it is possible to take the N12 towards Versailles then towards Paris via Porte de Saint-Cloud (N118).
A reopening “during next week”
“A reopening of the A13 could be considered during next week,” explains the prefecture. Analyzes have already been carried out by the Île-de-France Roads Directorate (DiRIF), the Hauts-de-Seine department, SEVESC (sanitation concessionaire for the Department) and the area of Saint Cloud. These made it possible to initiate “active surveillance, which will continue in the days to come”, indicated the prefect of Hauts-de-Seine.
