The 8th edition of the Refugee Food Festival, cooking to break down prejudices about refugees

This is the 8ᵉ edition of the Refugee food festival. A citizen initiative that organizes culinary collaborations between refugee cooks and local chefs. Purpose of the operation: to break down prejudices about refugees and promote their professional integration. As every year, the festival takes place around June 20, the date of World Refugee Day. This year, it’s from June 6 to 26 in 13 cities in France, but also in Switzerland.


A total of 350 refugee cooks have participated in the Refugee Food Festival since its inception.  60% of them received job offers following their participation.  (illustrative image)
