The 60-year-old’s hatred of Murhaf, 12: “Should be a white and Swedish…”

A 60-year-old woman is charged with incitement against a group of people and gross slander – after a comment on X. It was in April 2023 that the woman commented on a picture of 12-year-old Murhaf, who in the spring of 2023 managed to sell May flowers for five million kroner. According to the indictment, the woman’s comment, which included words such as “hucklekärring” and “blatteunge”, can be perceived as disrespect for the ethnic group. And since the post contained Murhaf’s picture, name and age, she is also suspected of gross defamation. The internet profile: “Can we talk?” In the preliminary investigation, it appears that the woman has previously published and shared several xenophobic and far-right posts on social media, including on X and Facebook. Despite that, the woman denies that she wrote the comment about Murhaf – and claims that she was hacked. During a crackdown on the woman, the police confiscated her mobile phone. In it, they found the X app, then called Twitter, with 29 logged user accounts. One of them is the account behind the comment about Murhaf. The police have also taken part in several private conversations between the woman and other people, including an internet profile. “Hey, have you seen the debate about your posts? Can we talk?” the profile asked. “Yes,” answered the woman. The mother: He was sad In the telephone conversation, which the internet profile published on X, the woman was allowed to speak. In the conversation she used the same words as she did in the comment. “Yes, it’s enough to turn on the TV in the evening or an Ikea advertisement. Yes, of course the bastard, it’s a xxx (the n-word, editor’s note) and then there are hucksters on Swedish television who are supposed to teach us Swedes how to bake or cook. What the hell,” she said. The profile then replied: “It really sounds like you wrote that tweet,” to which the woman again denied. Police have spoken with Murhaf’s mother who says her son has seen what was written about him, including the woman’s comment, and that he became sad and did not want to go to school after that.
