In addition to its harmful effects on health, alcohol increases the calorie counter, especially with certain drinks.

Consumption of alcohol poses health risks. According to health authorities, it is the cause of 41,000 deaths per year In France. To limit its harm to the body (notably the risk of addiction), it is recommended not to consume more than 10 standard glasses per week and no more than 2 standard glasses per day while having days in the week without consumption. Cider: choose this way

Cider is an alcoholic drink obtained from the fermentation of apple juice. “You have to count between 40 and 50 kcal for a glass of cider, which makes this sparkling drink the lowest calorie alcohol“, specifies Sophie Pihan, naturopath and member of the FENA (French Naturopathy Federation). Wine: the lightest color

Champagne: if you have the right version

Champagne is one of the lowest-calorie alcohols. “Count between 80 and 90 kcal per fluteknowing that raw champagne is less sweet than dry champagne, and therefore less caloric. Sparkling wine is generally more caloric than champagne. Sophie Pihan informs us.

Whiskey: one of the lowest-calorie spirits

Whiskey is a spirit containing a high amount of alcohol. This drink is obtained by distillation of cereals such as malt. This brandy contains on average 40% alcohol. “A glass of whiskey contains around 250 kcal, so it is much more caloric than a glass of wine or champagne, all by being more impactful for our liver“, she explains.

Pastis: not so caloric under this condition

Pastis is more caloric than whiskey: it contains 270 kcal per 100 ml. But we never drink that much pastis. In general, the normal dose is 2 cl of pastis diluted in water, which is about 65 calories.
