The 46-year-old is appealing the life sentence on Liselotte from Timrå – wants to be acquitted of murder

Even when the main hearing was over in Sundsvall’s district court, the 46-year-old’s lawyer flagged that the verdict, regardless of the outcome, would be appealed. On May 18, the appeal was submitted.

The 46-year-old wants to be acquitted of murder and that the violation of grave peace should be judged to be of the normal degree. The appeal states, among other things, that the 46-year-old questions conclusions drawn in the forensic report and refers to injuries that Liselotte had on her face.

It was on October 10 last year that Liselotte was reported missing and eight days later her body was found in a search area in Kramfors. The trial against the 46-year-old man, who has been in custody since October 14, started on April 3 and lasted five days.

In the video above, you can hear more about the appeal and also see images from the police’s search efforts.
