The cancellation of Marvel’s Daredevil was one of the biggest shocks to Marvel fans in recent years. There hasn’t been a better rated Marvel series to this day. The sad reason: For the new era of MCU series on Disney +, all Netflix Defenders shows around The Punisher and Jessica Jones were stamped out.
The pain of separation is soon forgotten. Because the man without fear, embodied by Charlie Cox, will be more integrated into the MCU than ever after his cameo appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the next two years, the blind lawyer and superhero from Hell’s Kitchen appear in four Marvel projects – including their own Daredevil series.
Daredevil’s big Marvel return: He’s in these 4 upcoming series
Spider-Man: No Way Home marked Charlie Cox’s first appearance as Matt Murdock since his Netflix series ended in fall 2018. Unfortunately, he was not to be seen in the superhero costume. That’ll be fine in a few weeks change: in the MCU lawyer comedy She-Hulk: The attorney brings back Daredevil.

The return of Daredevil fits perfectly into the new Disney+ series. Matt Murdock and Jessica Walters aka She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany) are both Lawyers and superheroes simultaneously. So they could clash in crime-fighting as well as in the courtroom.
Daredevil’s next live-action appearance is also set. in the Summer 2023 he will in the Disney+ series echo be seen, which continues the story of deaf fighter Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) from Hawkeye. Given Echo and Daredevil’s shared comic history, as well as Matt’s connection to Maya’s foster father, the Kingpin, it makes perfect sense that he’s a part of this story.
Another guest appearance will be Charlie Cox in the animated series Spider-Man: Freshman Year complete – even if only his voice will be heard there.

The greatest gift for Daredevil fans, however, comes in the Spring 2024, as recently revealed at San Diego Comic-Con. Then the series will start on Disney+ Daredevil: Born Again (de facto the 4th season of the Daredevil series).
Marvel couldn’t have chosen a more appropriate title for the next solo project starring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock. This will be his rebirth as a bona fide MCU hero. And the best thing about it: The new Daredevil series should be over 18 episodes in total exist. That’s basically three MCU series in one.
Daredevil is back – but what about the other characters in the Defenders universe?
Not only Matt Murdock, but also his greatest adversary makes the leap from the Netflix series to the big MCU. Of course we are talking about Wilson Fisk. Vincent D’Onofrio previously guest-starred as Kingpin in Hawkeye and will return in both Echo and Born Again.

Daredevil: Born Again would also be the perfect opportunity to introduce Matt Murdock’s castmates Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) back into the MCU. Unfortunately, this has not yet been confirmed. But what about the other Defenders heroes?
According to rumors, Krysten Ritter as jessica jones to be back in the MCU soon. Daredevil is said to be on the search for the superhumanly strong private detective in the series Echo.
About goodbye Luke Cage, Iron Fist or the Punisher unfortunately nothing is known yet. Given the popularity of Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, it’s probably only a matter of time before he finds his way back into the MCU. The revival of the Daredevil series is proof that the Defenders-Verse isn’t dead for good.
