The 4 best teams for the Superliga Love Cup in Pokémon Go

The Love Cup is currently active in Pokémon Go in the Superliga Edition. We show you which teams you can use to score here.

What kind of league is that? The Love Cup is a special competition in Pokémon Go, in which the permissible Pokémon are very limited. Only monsters are approved that have the colors red or pink. The competition runs from February 4, 2025 to February 18, 2025.

In the Superliga Edition, the maximum permissible strength is also limited to 1,500 WP. We have looked at which Pokémon you should take with you for this competition and put together 4 teams. The order does not correspond to a ranking.

Team 1: Galar-Lahmus, Miltank, Meditalis

Galar-Lahmus, Miltank and Meditalis (source: pokemon.com)

What attacks should the Pokémon have?

  • Galar lahmm: poison (poison), surfers (water) and whirlpool (unlighted)
  • Miltank: waltz (rock), bodylam (normal) and thunder flash (electrical)
  • Meditalis: Psychoclinge (Psycho), Wuchtschlag (fight) and psychokinesis (psycho)
  • If you do not have a galar lahm with surfers, then you have to use a top loading TM. Since it is an exclusive attack, you cannot receive them by using regular loading TMS.

What strengths does the team have? With Galar-Lahmus and Miltank you have 2 monsters in this team, which are represented in the current ranking on PVPOKE.com in second and 3th place. Both Pokémon can withstand a lot and also have attacks with which they can cover many different types.

Meditalis can attack normal Pokémon very effectively with its stakeholder, of which there are 2 representatives with Schlurplek and Miltank, which are very strong in this cup and will be found frequently.

What weaknesses does the team have? Galar-Lahmus is sensitive to attacks of the types Unlight, Spirit and Floor. Miltank has only one weakness towards combat attacks. You should protect your Meditalis from attacks by the types of fairy, flight and mind.

    Team 2: Fiaro, Schlurplek, Pixi

What attacks should the Pokémon have?

  • FIARO: crems (fire), fly (flight) and dive (flight)
  • Schlurplek: waltz (rock), bodyslam (normal) and earthquake (floor)
  • Pixi: fairy breeze (fairy), moon force (fairy) and star shower (normal)
  • You need 2 top TMS for this team if your monsters do not yet master the corresponding attacks. In order for Fiaro to learn to put on, you have to use a top-sofort-TM. Schlurplek needs a top loading TM to learn bodylam.

What strengths does the team have? With Fiaro in the first place you can use your charging attacks relatively quickly and often to elicit the shields with flying or to set up considerable damage with dive and then replace Fiaro.

With Schlurplek and Pixi, you then have 2 monsters that can damage well, have little weaknesses and also have strong attacks with earthquakes and moon power. If you have to replace Fiaro, Bodyslam from Schlurplek is also suitable for force the opponent to use his shields.

What weaknesses does the team have? If your opponent has a Pokémon with attacks of the Type rock, you should change Fiaaro quickly. The monster has a double weakness against these attacks. It also has a simple weakness compared to electric and water attacks.

While Schlurplek only has a weakness against combat attacks, Pixi should be protected from attacks by the types of poison and steel.

    Team 3: Crypto-Magmar, Schlurplek, Golking

What attacks should the Pokémon have?

  • Crypto-Magmar: karate slaughter (fight), fire chief (fire) and Brandsand (floor)
  • Schlurplek: waltz (rock), bodyslam (normal) and earthquake (floor)
  • Golking: Gifhieb (poison), impact drill (floor) and ice storm (ice)
  • In this setup there are a total of 4 exclusive attacks that you have to learn with the appropriate top TMS if you do not have them. This is the Bodyslam from Schlurplek and all 3 attacks by Golking.

So this team is more suitable for you if you have such a golking or many top TMS.

What strengths does the team have? The greatest strength of this team is Schlurplek, which is again represented in a team here, and Golking. Both Pokémon can take some damage so that you can save your shields here, depending on the opposing Pokémon.

You should rather plan this at Crypto-Magmar. Since this monster should be played in its crypto form, it can hand out additional damage, but can also withstand less.

What weaknesses does the team have? You should protect crypto-Magmar from attacks by the types of soil, rock and water. Schlurplek only has a weakness against combat attacks, Golking compared to electrical and plant attacks.

    Team 4: Sonnfel, Ariados, Mamolida

What attacks should the Pokémon have?

  • Sonnfel: Psywelle (psycho), hail of stone (rock) and solar ray (plant)
  • Ariados: Gifstachel (poison), incite (beetle) and pioneer (plant)
  • Mamolida: Cascade (water), hydropumps (water) and psychocinesis (psycho)
  • What strengths does the team have? While you can force the opponent to use his shields with Sonnfel and Ariados, you have a very strong Pokémon for the end in this team with Mamolida. It not only endures a lot, but also has 2 absolutely strong attacks with hydropumps and psychocinesis.

What weaknesses does the team have? Sonnfel can hand out a lot of damage, but unfortunately also has some weaknesses. It is susceptible to beetles, unight, mind, plant, soil, steel and water. At Ariados, the list of weaknesses is shorter. You should protect this monster from fire, flight, psycho and rock.

Mamolida, on the other hand, is only sensitive to attacks by the types of electrical and plant.

Which team should I use? When putting together your team, keep in mind that there is never an ultimate team in the battle league, with which you only win. When choosing your Pokémon, make sure that you cover as many opposing Pokémon as possible with your attacks.

In addition, you should make sure that, if possible, you have both Pokémon, forcing your opponents to use their shields as well as monsters who can defy the opponent’s attacks without using their own shields.

A balanced team, a good strategy and also a little luck are the big factors so that their victorious from the fights in the fighting arise.

You should also incorporate the fact that you have to spend on some monster top TMS in your considerations. If these are limited to you, you should do without corresponding Pokémon.

Outside of the battle league, there are of course many other events and content in the game in the coming weeks. February is mainly peppered with many strong Pokémon, which you shouldn’t miss if you don’t already have it: 12 of the best Pokémon in Pokémon Go will be available in February.
