Around 2,000 exhibitors from around twenty countries are expected, according to the organizing committee. Faced with the security crisis in the country, the general management of the show ensures that arrangements have been made to ensure that it runs as smoothly as possible.

A wave of around 350,000 general public visitors is expected at the 17th edition of the Salon international de crafts from Ouagadougou to Burkina Fasoalso called the “SIAO”, according to the forecasts of the organizing committee.
On the security aspect, Oumarou Barro, secretary general of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, who is also the vice-president of festival organizing committeeassures that “ all arrangements are made by the valiant defense and security forces to hold the show in complete peace of mind “.
A digital ticket platform set up
Ticket sales points have been increased and a digital platform called “e-SIAO” has been set up for purchasing tickets, in order to avoid crowds. Several entrance doors have also been provided so that visitors can access the site without difficulty.
This year the show welcomes several countries which will be participating for the first time. We can notably cite Russia, Iran, Libya and Zambia. Around thirty buyers and professional visitors from 17 countries in Africa, Europe, America and Asia have already registered, said Mariam Traoré Ouédraogo, the general director of SIAO.
