How was this list created? This list is based on the information we can get from the game’s lore, that is, the descriptions from official sites, games or other works. The strength in the game itself is irrelevant for this list.

10. Lissandra
Release: 2013
Quote: So many secrets hidden in the ice…
Lissandra is an ice witch on the Freljord. She and her two sisters gained an ancient power, but it cost her her eyesight. But Lissandra now had the ability to walk in dreams. During a journey, she made a pact with the so-called Guardians, who promised her more power.
Her pact didn’t go as expected, however, and she sacrificed her sisters to bury the Guardians in true ice. Her only goal is to keep the Guardians trapped in ice and hide her sisters’ legacies. Lissandra’s power alone keeps the Void from overrunning the Freljord (via League of Legends).

9. Soraka

Quote: Two paths stretch out before you, but you can only choose one
Soraka is an immortal being who has transformed into a mortal shell to help humans. She wants humans to get rid of their evil traits. Her power is so great that her mortal shell burns from the inside.
During her time on Runeterra, she saw the cruelty of humans and their wars. Although she realized that she cannot force humans to do good, she continues to try to help all living things (via League of Legends).
8. Aatrox

Quote: I have to destroy hope myself
Long ago, Aatrox was a warrior of Shurima who fought against the Void. When Shurima fell, however, he and the other Sunborn had no purpose and fought against each other. People were afraid and gave them the name “Darkin”. A single Darkin can take on an entire army.
Aatrox is probably the strongest of the Darkin. Aatrox was locked in his famous blade, but once someone takes it, they can control him. Aatrox gets stronger with every opponent he defeats and his goal is the complete destruction of the world so that everything, including him, ceases to exist (via League of Legends).
