    10th place: Arrax

  • Current tab: Lucerys Velaryon
  • Previous riders: /
  • Arrax is the youngest and therefore the smallest dragon in House of the Dragon. He was born shortly after his rider Lucerys Velaryon, which means the young dragon is probably between 10 and 15 years old.

For his older brothers, he is nothing more than a snack. We see this in the finale of season 1, when he is hunted and killed by Vhagar and his rider Aemond Targaryen.

  • Fun fact: Arrax was actually supposed to appear much earlier in the series. But he was replaced by his brother Vermax. Poor Arrax.
  • 9th place: Vermax

  • Current tab: Jacery’s Velaryon
  • Previous riders: /
  • Just like his little brother Lucerys, Jacerys Velaryon was given a dragon at birth. It was Vermax.

He is a little older and bigger than Arrax. However, compared to the other dragons in Westeros, Vermax is still a young one.

  • Fun fact: Vermax has a great aversion to snow, ice and cold, so he probably didn’t particularly enjoy the trip to the Wall.
  • 8th place: Sunfyre

  • Current tab: Aegon II Targaryen
  • Previous riders: /
  • Aegon II Targaryen may not be a good king, but his skills as a dragon rider should not be underestimated. His dragon, Sunfyre, is also quite impressive.

Sunfire is best known for his appearance. With his golden scales, he is considered the most magnificent dragon that has ever existed in Westeros. However, he still lacks experience in battle.

  • Fun fact: In reference to Sunfyre, Aegon II chose a golden, three-headed dragon as his coat of arms.
