It’s not actually your charger that’s charging your phone.
The charger only supplies power to various components in your mobile phone that are responsible for the battery actually being charged. These components also allow the current to be regulated and not cause damage during charging.
But when the components receive power from the charger, they also heat up, albeit minimally.
Typically, about 90 percent of the current from the charger is stored in the battery. The rest is lost as heat, making your phone warm.
