At the beginning of 2023, “Hotel romantik” premiered for the first time on SVT. The program, where seniors looking for love date, was then led by Kristina “Keyyo” Petrushina and Erik Ekstrand.
– The biggest difference is that these are people who have much more experience than you are used to people in dating programs having. They also have different goals than people usually have in programs like this. A dealbreaker for someone between the ages of 20 and 40 might be the issue of having children. But these people have already been through things, had relationships, lived long lives and learned a lot about themselves, Ekstrand told DN about the program before the premiere.

New presenters in Hotel romance 2025
Now a new season of “Hotel romance” is underway in SVT. But the new edition offers several changes. For example, the recording location has been changed.
The biggest change, however, is that the presenters have been replaced. This time it is not Kristina “Keyyo” Petrushina and Erik Ekstrand who will be running the program. They have passed the baton to Linnea Wikblad and Markus Granseth.
– I’m incredibly busy! The whole experience was maximized with intrigue, jealousy and romance. Love flows at the castle this season, Granseth has said in a press release.

That’s why Erik Ekstrand and Kristina “Keyyo” Petrushina quit
But how does it actually happen that there is a new presenter-duo in “Hotel romance”? News24 asked SVT.
– It is completely undramatic. Erik and Kristina did two brilliant seasons as presenters before choosing to continue with other TV programs this year. We are happy that Linnea and Markus have now taken on the roles and in their own ways guide the participants in the search for love, says the program’s project manager Hans Abrahamsson.
