Many have praised this year’s edition of “Master of Champions”.
And sat down every Sunday evening to watch new episodes in SVT.
But now comes the news that there will be no Champion of Champions this weekend – because of Armand Duplantis(!).
Ever since its start in 2008, the SVT program “Master of Masters” has been a real viewer favorite. Millions of Swedes have followed our most beloved athletes, who have made up for tough challenges and clever competitions after their active careers have come to an end.
Viewers’ favorite in SVT
The new season of the acclaimed TV show has also been singled out as the toughest ever and the first four episodes have not disappointed. Sebastian Larsson and Joel Lundqvist has developed a “bromance”, Tony Rickardsson has proven to be a real cozy guy and the competition in the competitions has really been at the highest level.

But despite the fact that there are so many winners among the participants, the atmosphere is still very good and it is clear that they enjoy each other’s company. Sunday nights have really offered really good TV entertainment so far, but this weekend there is a big change.
No new episode
Because there will be no Champion of Champions on Sunday evening. This week’s episode will not be shown either on SVT or on SVT Play due to an unfortunate clash of TV tables.

The world’s best pole vaulter Armand Duplantis namely forces the SVT program to an inevitable break. When “Mondo” is chasing another WC gold during the indoor WC, the TV channel will instead show the pole vault final at 20:00 on Sunday evening.
SVT now reveals why there won’t be a new episode of Mästarnas mäster this week and why TV viewers have to wait a total of two weeks for the next episode.
“The broadcast of the Masters of the Champions takes a break as there is a clash in the schedule with the live broadcast of the Athletics World Championships. Only broadcasting the Master of Masters on Play or at another time does not feel like a good option, therefore we choose to take a short break”, replies Clara MannheimerSVT’s executive producer for Mästarnas mäster, in an email to Sportbibeln.
