“That’s why he’s not in the national team”

Now the national team captain gives an answer to talk about the 41-year-old.

Last year has been really hard for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his injury problems. The new season began last fall with rehabilitation for the 41-year-old and the spring has been even worse.

Zlatan’s problem

Because every time “Ibra” has managed to come back, a new injury has ruined him again. The latest news was that he was doing everything to be fit for Milan’s last match of the season against Hellas Verona on Sunday.

It was reported that the Swedish attacking star was training double sessions to come back faster than expected. However, according to Milannews, that dream of one last game at the San Siro will not come true for Ibrahimovic, as he is not fit to play yet.

Janne explains

On Wednesday came the next setback for Zlatan when Janne Andersson announced Sweden’s new national team squad. Blue and yellow will face Austria in the European Championship qualifiers and among all the names, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was not included.

Now the Swedish national team captain admits why the 41-year-old’s name was not among the selected names.
– I have spoken to him and we had a good talk as always. Now he is not injury free and therefore he is not included. I haven’t talked to him about much more than that. You can ask him yourself, says Janne at the press conference.

The last time Zlatan Ibrahimovic played a match for Milan was in the middle of March. It was most likely his very last appearance in the red and black jersey as the contract expires this summer and an extension is not currently in question.
