The classified documents were found in Joe Biden’s old locker.

They were in a folder that had been marked with the word “personal”.

Now it has been revealed what the documents were about.

The documents were in a locked cabinet at a think tank in Washington where Joe Biden had an office. He used it during his tenure as an emeritus professor at the University of Pennsylvania in the years 2017–2019.

The papers were found on November 2 and, according to Biden’s lawyers, were handed over to the National Archives the next day.

However, the White House did not say anything about the existence of the documents until Monday when their existence was revealed by CBS. Already from the first reporting it was clear that it was about ten documents, some of which were marked with a special code which means that they contained intelligence information.

Now CNN reveals that the papers were about Ukraine, Iran and Great Britain, among other things. They were dated from the years 2013-2016 when Biden was vice president under Barack Obama.

The documents were mixed with other documents that were not classified but are still covered by the Special Archives Act for presidents and vice presidents.

In the boxes of papers were also private family documents, including those relating to the funeral of Biden’s son Beau, writes CNN.

The secret documents were found when Biden’s lawyers cleaned out the old office. Some of them were in a paper folder marked with the word “personal”, sources told the channel.

The US Department of Justice is now investigating how the documents could end up in the cabinet and whether a formal legal process should be started against Joe Biden.
