Newton is anything but a blank slate in Hollywood. Many will refer to her as Claire Novak from the fantasy series Supernatural or from the mystery drama Big Little Lies know. In the cinema she was seen in Freaky – Body Swap with Blood Rage or Pokémon Detective Pikachu.

She is the third Cassie actress after Abby Ryder Fortson and Emma Fuhrmann. While the switch from Fortson to Wagoner is primarily related to the five-year jump in Avengers 4, the reasons for Ant-Man 3 are different. The Direct suspects that Marvel simply needed a more experienced actress for the important role and therefore replaced Fuhrmann with Newton.
