Annemarie Gardshol has worked within Postnord since 2012, when she was recruited as strategy manager and head of eCommerce & Corporate Clients.
After several roles within the company, Gardshol became CEO of Postnord in 2018 and a year later she also became CEO.

During Annemarie Gardshol’s years at Postnord, things have been stormy.
After extensive complaints PTS began an audit of how Postnord handled the delivery of mail in Sweden summer 2022. The review showed that the mail was not delivered as required.
At the same time, there were several Postnord employees who testified about how stressful the postman profession is, and who were then threatened with dismissal.

During these years, Annemarie Gardshol has increased her salary by around 20 percent twice in a row.
In 2021, Postnord’s CEO raised his salary by 21 percent, and went from a monthly salary of SEK 583,333 to SEK 708,333.
The following year, Postnord’s CEO raised his salary by 19 percent to just over SEK 842,000 a month. This is equivalent to 30 postman wages.
According to information to Tax Agency as News24 took part, AnneMarie Gardshol had a fixed income of SEK 12,305,900 in 2022, and also a surplus of capital of SEK 149,558.

The wage increase in 2022 was heavily criticized by the union. This is because the postmen received a 2.7 percent increase in the same year with the explanation that the money was not enough.
