Thats how expensive it is to own a Bugatti Chiron

The costs associated with owning the car are not something that Bugatti themselves communicate, but there are a number of collectors who have come forward with the information.

It reports Supercar Blondie.

A recipe for personal bankruptcy

To begin with, we have an oil change, which on a “normal” car costs around the thousand mark. On a Bugatti Chiron instead, it costs SEK 260,000 and must be carried out every 14 months, or every 1,600 kilometres.

The rims then? They cost SEK 521,000. The most bizarre thing, however, is that the tires, which are specially developed by Michelin and are required to reach the car’s top speed of 420 km/h, cost a whopping SEK 437,609.

However, you don’t have to change the rims as often as the tires.

Every four years, the brakes, brake fluid and turbo units must also be replaced. Bugatti also recommends replacing the fuel tank at the same time.

This service costs an astronomical SEK 2,193,689. That’s more than four Volvo EX30s or, for that matter, Tesla Model 3s.

Hold the key tightly

The key is also an expensive story, and if you have lost it, you have to shell out SEK 145,245.

All in all, it costs an average of just over SEK 1,000,000 per year to just own a Bugatti Chiron, and then you don’t count on, for example, insurance, fuel, and similar costs.

It’s hardly a surprise that a Bugatti is expensive to own, but that the annual cost is on par with a very good income is staggering.

However, if you can afford a Bugatti, you can probably afford to own it as well. On the used market, the Chiron averages around SEK 40 million, depending on the version.
