Next season, Leo Komarov will play in Luleå.
Now comes information about the star’s salary.

Luleå had a fantastic season during the winter and were long favorites for the SM gold. But in the final, a top-of-form Färjestad awaited, and then it didn’t matter how skilled players like Linus Omark and Pontus Andreasson were.

Incredible track record

It was a lead-heavy loss in the seventh and absolutely decisive SM final – also in Luleå – and Luleå thus has to wait for its long-awaited gold. During the spring and summer, Luleå has also lost key players such as Omark, who left to play in Switzerland, and goal king Andreasson, who is trying his luck in the NHL.

During the summer, they hunted for a top forward who should be able to score, and this week they finally presented Leo Komarov, 35. He most recently came from playing in the KHL, but during his career has played over 500 games, including playoffs, in the NHL. Luleå won the battle against, above all, Brynäs for a signature, and it is a well-known name you are now getting. So how much does it all cost?

That’s how much he earns

A player with Leo Komarov’s credentials is of course not free, and now there is information in Expressen about his salary for the coming season. According to the newspaper, the Finn will be among the best paid in Luleå next season, but the salary is not among the absolute top seen across the entire SHL.

It will be about a salary of 230,000 Euros after tax for the whole year, i.e. close to 2.5 million Swedish kronor. That gives a monthly salary of just over 200,000 kroner, and according to Expressen, it should not be enough to get onto the top 20 list of salaries in the SHL. During his career, Leo Komarov has won both Olympic and World Cup gold with Finland, and six years ago he was in the NHL’s All Star game.
