Former Overwatch pro Félix “xQc” Lengyel (26) has announced his split from Twitch streamer Sam “Adept” (28). She is anything but pleased.
To the background: The most watched streamer on Twitch is Félix “xQc” Lengyel. He often streams several hours a day, 7 days a week. On average, almost 60,000 of his 11 million followers watch him. With so much public attention, it’s not easy to keep your private life private.
This has now led to conflict in his relationship with Sam “adeptthebest” aka “Adept”. Adept is also active on Twitch, where she became known for roleplaying in GTA 5.
Without Twitch, Adept and xQc’s relationship would hardly have received as much publicity.
This relationship is about: Since 2021, xQc and Adept have been in an on-off relationship. After initially appearing as roommates, they eventually went public with their relationship, but broke up shortly thereafter before reconciling.
27-year-old tells how much she and the world’s biggest Twitch streamer suffered
What happened now? In a September 15 stream, xQc announced their renewed split from Adept. He justified his absence from a larger streamer event, the so-called Shitcamp, hosted by the YouTuber QTCinderella.
However, his ex-girlfriend Adept was not at all satisfied with the portrayal of xQc and in turn reacted in a stream.
Request for privacy is not respected
That bothers Adept: The streamer seems less annoyed by what xQc is saying. Rather, it bothers her that xQc made the breakup public at all. Because as soon as she shows xQc’s statements in her stream, a discussion arises in her chat.
Some viewers try to defend xQc. After all, he only said nice things about Adept and even took the blame for the breakup on himself. But that’s not what Adept is about:
This is really uncomfortable. I don’t know why he feels the need to announce things. I asked him for privacy so you don’t do what you’re doing right now. He’s decided to go beyond my wishes and do whatever he damn wants, when he the damn wants it. It’s nothing new.
Adept via Twitch
Apparently, Adept foresaw this scenario and tried to avoid it. Two opposites probably collide here, because xQc seems to be used to sharing things very openly with its community.
From his messy room to his gambling gambles, xQc seems to have a “wait, I’ll show you guys” motto. Adept, on the other hand, is privacy conscious and not much is known about her life outside of Twitch.
Adept says she just wanted “peace and quiet.” The fact that xQc has now made the separation public and also talked about the reasons she finds “disgusting”.
how do you see it? Is privacy even realistic for a streamer like xQc who spends so much time sharing his life live with others? Please leave us a comment with your opinion.
Asmongold has also had to experience that a relationship and the life of a Twitch streamer are not always so easy to reconcile:
Twitch’s flagship nerd can’t have a girlfriend: “I want him to be miserable and lonely like me.”
