The mobile health screening tool, which serves under the Persembe District Health Directorate, provides service at the door to citizens living in rural areas and having difficulty in going to the hospital.

Reaching rural houses by mobile vehicle, health officials screen women between the ages of 30 and 69 for cancer.

During the controls of the teams, housewife Aynur Eren was diagnosed with colon cancer and Lütfiye Kılıç was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Thereupon, Eren and Kılıç, who were invited to health institutions, were found to have cancer in their examinations. The two women, whose treatment was started immediately, regained their health.

Aynur Eren (59), a mother of two children, living in the district’s Medreseönü District, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that the health teams affiliated to the Cancer Early Diagnosis Screening and Training Center (KETEM) came to the neighborhood by mobile vehicle.

Explaining that he was invited to the health institution after colon cancer was suspected in the test, Eren said that after the examination of the specialist doctors at the hospital, it was revealed that he had cancer.

Eren said, “I wanted my treatment to be started immediately without depressing my morale. I had my surgery in Samsun. Today, thank goodness, I regained my health. Eren, who thanked the health teams who came to the door and diagnosed his disease early, explained that he managed to survive thanks to them.

Addressing women of her age, Eren said, “They should never neglect their condition. When the medical teams come, they should have their examination. If they encounter any problems, they should go and have their treatment immediately. I understood and saw the importance of early diagnosis very well. Today, thank God, I regained my health. ” he said.

Lütfiye Kılıç (58), the mother of two children, who lives in the district’s Soğukpınar District, stated that one day, while sitting at her home, medical teams came to the door and said that the healthcare professionals who suspected breast cancer during the examination took her to the hospital.

Noting that she had a mammogram at the hospital and was diagnosed with breast cancer, Kılıç said, “I had the surgery. Thank God I regained my health. I would like to thank the health teams who came to our door and helped to reveal my disease.” said.

Kılıç stated that the possibility of cancer never crossed his mind, but that he had the opportunity to learn about his disease as a result of a health screening. “Let them take advantage of this service that comes to their feet. Women should never neglect their health. Let them go and get their treatment early. Let them get a checkup once in a while.” he said.

Stating that they provided early diagnosis and treatment to many women during these scans, Özdemir said, “It is very important to touch a person’s life. We are very happy when we see them healthy.” said.

Özdemir pointed out that they brought some women from the garden and examined them when they went to the countryside, “Sometimes it is very difficult to convince them. We are also happy to see those we persuaded come across such cases and regain their health.” used the phrases.
