Attention Batman fans: Some top titles are currently discounted on Steam, which could be due to the imminent release of a new series.
Which series is it? In a few days, a new series called The Penguin will be starting on HBO Max. It deals with Batman’s adversary Penguin and is already receiving very good reviews. In this country, the mini-series can be seen via Sky Atlantic and WOW and will start on September 20, 2024.
The series is a spin-off of the 2022 film The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson in the role of the bat. In this film, Irish actor Colin Farrell was already seen as the villain Penguin. His real name is Oswald Cobblepot. The character was already played by Danny DeVito in Batman Returns in the early 90s.
The fact that the new series is starting soon was probably a reason for Warner Bros. to significantly reduce the price of some of the best games from the Batman universe on Steam.
Batman at his best on Steam
Which games are on offer? The sale on Steam bears Penguin’s name and face, although unfortunately there is no title that revolves solely around the eccentric villain. Instead, you can currently get some top games for little money on Steam until September 22, 2024.
Particularly worth mentioning is the Arkham series from developer Rocksteady:
You can get the three games individually or in the Arkham Collection – you only pay €8.99 for the entire trilogy. The series is one of the best comic adaptations of all time.
If you would rather fight other superheroes straight away, you can take advantage of the Injustice 2 offer. In this game, which is currently available for €5.99, you compete against other heroes from the DC universe in the best fighting game style.
Further offers:
If you want to increase your anticipation for the new Penguin series, the games in which you sometimes have to fight against the villain are just the thing for you. And even if you are not interested in the series, Arkham City and Co. should keep you entertained for many hours. A new Batman game was announced at the Summer Game Fest – but it was a disappointment.
