Anime fans are waiting with bated breath for Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece. For German community members, not only the look plays a role. Netflix commissions German voices of the anime template for the One Piece series
The Unfortunately, there is no German teaser on YouTube yet, instead you have to search for it on the Netflix site, which is a bit cumbersome. You can see it if you run the trailer on Netflix’s One Piece overview page and then switch the audio version to “German”.
As it shows the One Piece heroes have their beloved German voices. Daniel hose speaks Luffy, Stefanie Kellner and Uwe Thomsen take over Nami and Zoro (whose first voice actor, Philipp Brammer, died in 2014). It is not yet known whether the original speakers were also used for other fan favorites such as Sanji, Usopp and Co.
