Thames River Will Rise As Snow Melts Upstream: Authority

While the Threat of Ice-Jam Flooding has passed for the winter, snow melting uptream will boost waterls in the lower thames river in catham-kent, waatershed watchers say.

An estimated half the water stored in snow in the upper thames waatershed has already melted and been released, but more snow melt is expected this week with warmer temperatures forecast, a lower thames valley conservation authority flood outlook said.

Melted snow will cause river levels to rise, the authority Said.

As the river rises Again, the Authority Said People Should Take Extra Backlide and Avoid the River and Any Other Watercourses With High Water.

“The Combination of Slippery Banks and Fast-Moving Cold Water can be Dangerous, it added. “Standing water can also present its own unseen hazards. Children and Pets and Livestock SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY from the water. ”
