Texas prosecutor faces impeachment
The Republican-controlled House of Representatives in the US state of Texas has voted to impeach Republican State Attorney Ken Paxton, who is accused, among other things, of corruption.
121 voted for impeachment and only 23 against. Paxton is suspended from office effective immediately pending a state Senate hearing.
Paxton himself says the whole thing is a politically driven plot against him.
