Tesla is the newest in Europe since March V4 Superchargerand as of April, some of these have been rolled out to non-Tesla vehicles that support CCS2. So far, Tesla has V4’s maximum charging capacity remained silent on the matter, but according to rumors 350 kW was.
Now, that number has finally been confirmed – but not by Tesla, mind you. Instead, approval comes from paperwork filed in the UK town of Swindon regarding the addition of the 16 V4 charger. It’s unlikely that Tesla will release detailed specifications for these chargers, so this is probably the best confirmation of their capabilities we’ll ever get.
Tesla’s V3 Superchargers only 324 kW, so the Supercharger V4 is definitely more powerful – if not by that much. 350 kW, currently by electric vehicles highest supported mainstream charging speed. So it’s no surprise that the new modules support exactly this capacity, as Tesla has opened its Supercharger network to other brands. Note that no Tesla currently sold can charge at 350 kW, but the upcoming Cybertruck will be a different story.
Moreover New V4 Superchargerit has a more minimalist design and a longer cable than its predecessor.
