(Finance) – Quick visit to China by the CEO of Tesla and a multi-billionaire Elon Muskwhere, according to press rumors, he obtained reassurances that the electric vehicles that Tesla produces in the country comply with the safety standards required by local regulations.
Musk would thus have overcome some fundamental regulatory obstacles that had long prevented the automaker from distributing its Full Self-Driving autonomous driving software in China, but also from transferring driving data abroad. A position that put Tesla at a clear disadvantage compared to its Chinese competitors.
This is Musk’s second visit to the Dragon Country in less than a year, where he also met the Chinese Prime Minister, Li Qiang.
