Tesla, the new and improved Model 3 is back in the limelight. The “refreshed” Model 3 promises more range, better design and more features. There are some improvements to the Model 3’s exterior that are not just about looks. It now features a sculpted front and rear that not only looks sleeker, but also improves aerodynamics. This aerodynamic efficiency helps to extend the vehicle’s range. Meanwhile, the vehicle is now 2.5 cm longer and slightly lower than its predecessor. There’s no doubt that she looks much better, more mature, and less “frog-like” – small and subtle changes actually seem to make a big difference.

One change is already getting a lot of unhappy reactions from the public – the steering wheel. At first glance it looks a little sportier with a smaller flat sole – all good so far. But the biggest change is the absence of indicator arms. Just like the Model S, the new Model 3 has touch-sensitive instrument buttons on the left side of the steering wheel – some people like it, but the majority seem to prefer the old mechanical solution.
Music lovers will appreciate the new sound system. The LR model has 17 speakers, two subwoofers and two amplifiers. The sound system, which users have already mentioned as good, has become even better. Tesla has also added other extras like wireless charging for the two phones and improved microphones for all-important Zoom calls on the go.
Let’s not miss the changes hidden under the stylish new body. The updated Model 3 has a revised front suspension geometry and a stronger side impact structure, the new suspension, new Hankook tires aim to provide more grip and less noise, and all windows are now made of two layers laminated with acoustic film. All these changes are aimed at making your driving safer and more comfortable. Even the rear seats have been modified for more comfort, although they look the same as the old model. The front seats are also ventilated now.
The renewed Model 3 production is already underway at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Shanghai, the company’s largest electric vehicle manufacturer. Local and Southeast Asian shipments will begin towards the end of this month. Deliveries in Europe and the Middle East are expected to begin in late October.
