The EEOC is a federal agency charged with enforcing civil law laws in, among other things, America’s business community. The lawsuit against Tesla was filed on Thursday.
Tesla has previously been sued by the state of California with similar allegations.
A jury has also ordered Tesla to pay former employee Owen Diaz $3.2 million in damages after he was subjected to racial discrimination while working at the company in 2015.
