As the autumn leaves are falling in the United States, Tesla’s popular Model 3 And Model Y prices are also falling. Tesla’s response to falling short of delivery targets in the third quarter was to discount two of its most sought-after models in its domestic market.
The base Model 3 in Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) configuration drops to €36,330, down from its previous price of €37,500. Those interested in the extended-range Model 3 Long Range can now have it for €42,860, a discount from the initial €44,020 price tag. The high-performance Model 3 Performance is offered for sale for 47,520 Euros, down from its previous price of 49,610 Euros.
Similarly, the starting price of the Model Y Long Range, which was previously priced at 47,050 Euros, was determined as 45,190 Euros. The price of the Model Y Performance has also dropped from €50,780 to a more affordable €48,910. Meanwhile, the recently introduced Model Y RWD maintains its price of €40,990.
It’s worth noting that both the Model 3 and Model Y qualify for a €7,000 federal tax credit under the Inflation Reduction Act. Additionally, when considering state-specific incentives, such as those available in Colorado, the total price could drop even further.
Although Tesla has introduced a new version of the Model 3 in international markets, the refreshed “Highland” Model 3 won’t come to the U.S. until next year. These price adjustments may serve as Tesla’s strategy to attract potential customers who are considering delaying their purchases.
