    French authorities now say they stopped three plans for terrorist attacks during the Olympics and Paralympics in Paris and other French cities.

    Anti-terrorism prosecutor Olivier Christen says one of the foiled terror plots involved attacks on Israeli institutions and representatives in Paris during the Olympics, but that the Israeli Olympic team was not a target.

    A total of five people, one of whom was a minor, were arrested on suspicion of plans to attack the Olympics.

    Security during the Olympic and Paralympic competitions was rigorous. Before the Olympics, the Minister of the Interior, Gerald Darmanin, warned of security threats, including from Islamist extremist groups, violent environmental activists, far-right groups and cyber attacks from Russia and others.

  • Swedish 18-year-old arrested in Denmark tonight

    Young Swedes continue to cross the strait on a mission to commit serious violent crimes.

    Last night, an 18-year-old Swedish man was arrested on suspicion of weapons offenses and attempted murder.

    – The young man was arrested on a street in Nørrebro when he had a weapon on him, Copenhagen police said in a statement.

    The 18-year-old is thus the second Swede to face a detention hearing in Denmark today.

    A detention hearing was held against a 16-year-old boy earlier today. That boy is suspected of attempted murder, possession of a weapon and of having attempted to carry out an explosion.

    At least two people are said to be injured in a car accident on Vaxholmsvägen in Stockholm, according to the police.

    The accident must involve four cars and the emergency services, ambulance and police are ordered to the scene.

  • Man sentenced – injected woman with drugs

    A 45-year-old man is sentenced for murdering a 33-year-old woman with whom he had a relationship.

    According to the verdict, he allegedly injected her with a fatal dose of narcotics and also subjected her to violence. The woman was found dead on 22 November 2023 in an apartment in Norrköping.

    Suspicions were quickly directed at the elderly man, who has a long list of previous convictions against him.

    The 45-year-old man is now sentenced to forensic psychiatric care with a special discharge examination as he suffers from a serious mental disorder.

    Five new people are suspected after the murder of 14-year-old Emilia in Landskrona, writes Helsingborgs Dagblad.

    A total of eight people are suspected of having been involved in various ways.

    Since before, a 15-year-old girl is suspected of murder and a minor girl is also suspected of murder. Due to her young age, she has been taken into the care of social authorities.

    Emilia was found murdered on July 23. She was subjected to severe violence, which led to her death.

    Leading chains reduce the price of petrol and diesel on Wednesday.

    The diesel price is reduced by 20 öre to SEK 16.69 per litre. To find a lower price for diesel, you have to go back to May 2021.

    The ethanol price (E85) is reduced by 10 öre to SEK 13.34 per litre.

    The government and the Sweden Democrats are presenting a new investment in the judiciary.

    Over a five-year period, they expect it to grow from 69 billion per year to 100 billion per year.

    The police are proposed to receive SEK 1.4 billion.

  • Man in tent robbed and beaten

    A man was attacked on Tuesday evening when he spent the night in a tent in Finspång.

    “The plaintiff had been robbed of belongings and abused by several people,” the police write on their website.

    The man had to be taken to hospital with what are described as “obvious injuries from severe violence”. The incident is being investigated as aggravated assault.

    Now the police are appealing to the public.

    “If you have made observations in the area concerning a group of people who moved or talked about the incident, you are welcome to contact the police to make society safer.”

  • Truck is stuck under viaduct

    A truck is stuck under a viaduct on the E20 in Lerum, reports P4 West. The accident has a major impact on traffic.

    There is no information on the state of the damage.

  • Searched for colleagues – police employee charged

    A police employee in Skåne is charged with beating two female colleagues in the police’s internal system. Printouts from the searches were later found in a parking lot and the finder mailed the documents to the women concerned, Sydsvenskan reports.

    The finder had also photographed the registration number of the car that was where the documents were. The car turned out to belong to the police employee and was also parked outside a residence belonging to a relative of his.

    The prints are extracts from the police’s register of criminal suspicions, possession of weapons and whether you have been taken into custody for drunkenness. The man denies any wrongdoing and says he believes the finding of the transcripts can be explained by someone else trying to frame him.
