Two people have been arrested on suspicion of having joined a terrorist organization, the Norwegian security police PST announces.
One is a man who has been arrested in Oslo. The other is a Norwegian student who has been arrested in Bulgaria. It has not yet been said what organization they are suspected of being members of.
The arrests in Oslo and Bulgaria took place early on Tuesday morning. For the sake of the investigation, I can not provide more details now, says Martin Bernsen at PST.
According to Norwegian law, such a criminal suspicion applies to anyone who “founds, participates in, recruits or provides financial or other material support to a terrorist organization”.
