‘Terrible’ stench – 115 bodies may have been stored incorrectly

A funeral home specializing in environmentally friendly burials has stored more than 115 bodies “improperly” in Penrose, Colorado in the United States, according to the police. The authorities were alerted after someone reacted to the smell around the funeral home “The Return to Nature”, writes the BBC. It is unclear whether any crime has been committed, according to the FBI. It could take months to identify the remains. The funeral home specializes in burials where no chemicals, nor embalming fluid, are used and where the remains are buried in a biodegradable coffin. – Without going into too much detail, the atmosphere in the funeral home where the bodies were kept was terrible, says Sheriff Allen Cooper at a press conference. It is still unclear whether the bodies would be buried or cremated.
