The terrible accident occurred this morning in the Gereshk region of Helmand province. A motorcycle traveling on the highway in the Gereshk region crashed into a passenger bus. The bus went out of control and then crashed into a fuel tanker coming from the opposite lane.
In the statement made by the Helmand Information and Culture Department, it was stated that a fire broke out as a result of the bus hitting the tanker. In the accident, 21 people died and 38 people were injured.
Helmand Information and Culture Department announced that 11 of the injured were in serious condition.
