There is a fire in a block of terraced houses in Berghem, in Umeå municipality, with heavy smoke developing as a result. A VMA, an important message to the public, has gone out to nearby residents who are asked to stay indoors and to close windows, doors and ventilation. It was early on Saturday morning, at 05.30, that the alarm came in. According to SOS Alarm, there is a fire in the attic of two townhouses in a row of townhouses. According to the police, four of the houses have been evacuated. At 10 o’clock, the emergency services are waiting for a crane truck to lift the roof to facilitate the extinguishing work.
