Terna headquarters lights up red against violence against women

Terna first closing for the sale of the electricity business

(Finance) – On the occasion of the international day against violence against women, for the third consecutive year, Terna illuminates the facade of its headquarters in Rome in red. From sunset of November 25th until dawn of the following day, the headquarters will host the writing on the prospectus “Terna for the International Day against Violence against Women”.

With this initiative, the company that manages the national electricity grid – explains the note – intends to raise public awareness on the issue of gender-based violence, accepting the invitation launched worldwide by the UN which, in 1999, established the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women” precisely on this date.

Terna constantly monitors the main management indicators which analyze the equal treatment between men and women. These parameters confirm, as enshrined in the Group’s Code of Ethics, the absence of disadvantages for women or significant inequalities.

Confirming the great commitment to foster and promote gender equality, Triad it was confirmed, for the fourth consecutive year, in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index (GEI), the international index that measures company performance on issues of gender equality and inclusion.

It is also among the 100 companies in the world included in the Standard & Poor’s Gender Equality & Inclusion Index, the international index, launched in August 2021, which selects the listed companies most attentive to gender equality. These are two prestigious awards for the policies carried out by Terna in favor of inclusion and gender equality as fundamental building blocks of sustainable management.
