Actor Jack Whitehall explains on the talk show that he is currently working on a Netflix documentary that revolves around the topic of fatherhood.

In this context, Jack Whitehall asks the Terminator star, who is sitting with him on the couch, what advice he would give him as a father.

Schwarzenegger explains that he and his wife divided the tasks: she took care of raising the children and making them “very good people.” Meanwhile, he was responsible for the discipline of the next Schwarzenegger generation.

For example, he taught them to turn off the lights when they left the room and to save water. Thanks to his upbringing, the children were already able to wash their own clothes at the age of 5 to 6.

How disciplined his children grew up was demonstrated during a family ski trip. Schwarzenegger tells how they started complaining after just one round and demanded a cup of hot chocolate. His answer:

There will be no hot chocolate […] We will do four runs and after four runs there will be hot chocolate.

The family skied for an hour and a half and then got hot chocolate. The Terminator star said the children cried for a long time at the time.

However, he added that later, when his children went skiing with friends, they came up to him and thanked him and even “loved” the way he had raised them back then.

Because: the discipline of skiing as children meant that they could now ski significantly better than their friends.

Schwarzenegger goes on to say on the talk show that his daughter Katherine copied the educational measures for her 3-year-old daughter from him.

Katherine already lets her daughter go skiing. When the three-year-old whines, the answer is clear: “There will be no hot chocolate.”

Even with a mediocre role offer, the Terminator actor proved that he can be creative when he wants to achieve a certain goal:
